Happy Monday!

I hope you enjoyed the wonderful Easter weekend with your family and friends. We celebrated by going to church Saturday and Sunday, spending time with lots of cousins, lots of egg hunts, and eating too much food. We are so blessed!
Going Green! Our class is "Going Green!" We are learning about recycling and ways we can save the earth. We learned several ways to help save the earth in class today. Your child should have come home today and thanked you for recycling (if you do at home) and told you one way they can save the earth! Add your comment below for 5 horseshoes of what your child said is a way to save the earth by recycling. Please provide a specific example from the stories we read. I can't wait to hear all the great ways we can save the earth!
Thank you for your generous donations of $1 (or more) to pay for the recycled shopping bags. We almost collected enough money to pay for all of the bags. Thank you so much!
Please remember to encourage your child to complete homework each night. Provide a quiet space in the house and offer their assistance if it is needed. Let them know how important it is to complete the work the best they can.
Have a wonderful week.

  1. My daughter is contributing to 'going green' by planting her own garden full of beautiful flowers! And when the weather decides to stay warm, we'll expand that to an herb garden.

  2. Now this post explains a lot about yesterday. Yesterday was our garbage day and it was very windy. Needless to say there were lots of recyclables blowing in the breeze. KM2 collected every piece that crossed our path from the bus stop to our home. She spent most of the walk home telling me how these things can be re-used. She also told me about the large amounts of garbage we make every year and that everyone should recycle because its good for the Earth. Thanks for discussing such a great topic!
