Happy Friday

Conferences-I have really enjoyed sitting down with you and chatting with you about your child. As a whole, the children have done a wonderful job improving their reading this year. I am so pleased with their growth. I really enjoy seeing them go to the classroom library and check out a book and love to read it. Sometimes I have to ask some of them to stop reading and do their work, something I never thought I'd have to ask a child to do. Thank you so much for taking the time to show how much you care about your child to learn about their growth in the classroom. Below are some cute love notes from some parents I found on a website that I wanted to share with you. There are so many easy ways we can make our children feel special by taking the time to show we care.
First love note-"Your smile brightened my day today. When I went to work I saw your smiling face. It touched my heart and I smiled back at you.Your smile is a treasure. The more you smile the happier I am. Your smile brightens all who see you. Keep on smiling!
Second love note-You make me feel warm inside when you hug me. I love how you run to me with a hug when you come home from school. I feel so good inside. I love hugging you back. I love your hugs!
Third love note-I appreciate your sweet kisses at bedtime. It's a beautiful way to end our day. Your are such a loving person. It is a joy to be your parent.
I know my kids love finding love letters in their lunchbox, their folder, assignment book, wherever I can sneak them in. One day, I even found a love note in my lunch box! It was so sweet. Love notes deepen the bond between you and your child. You make your child happy when you leave them love notes to show you care. They are easy to create and offer meaningful rewards!

Xtra Math Please continue to practice Xtra Math as many times a week as you can. We still assign it on Wednesdays. We start Time next week and then will introduce 2-digit subtraction. Please continue to work on basic math facts of addition and subtraction to improve speed and accuracy.

Have a wonderful weekend!
