Happy Thanksgiving!

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?  I would love you to share your family traditions or your family plans for Thanksgiving. My family and I spend time with both families and share the day. It's a busy but fun day celebrating the many blessings we are thankful for. We have many American traditions with my family, and we celebrate Mexican traditions with my husband's family. Happy Thanksgiving!!! Enjoy the break and time with family and friends.

  1. We have a very big family that lives here nearby. It is almost impossible to get everyone together at the same time...but we try. My mom doesn't like turkey so we always have dinner at my Aunt Tracy and Uncle Joe's house. Everyone who can make it or juggle two dinners with extended family is there. At Christmastime, dinner (which is not turkey) is at our house. Then we share our Puerto Rican rice, beans and pernil. I love the chance to spend time with my family.

  2. Oooh, that sounds delicious. What is pernil? I think the Puerto Rican dinner sounds yummy. We have tamales, barbacoa, and posole on Christmas with my husband's family. With my family we have ham and turkey and the traditional sides. I love teaching the boys both of our Mexican-American family traditions. KM2 you are a lucky girl!
